We regret to announce the sad news that Professor UMESAO Tadao, first Director-General of the National Museum of Ethnology, passed away peacefully at the age of 90, at 11:07 a.m., July 3, 2010. A private funeral service was held by his family on July 5.
We plan to have a gathering to bid him farewell, however the date is still to be confirmed.
We wish to express our appreciation for your cordial friendship with him and for your continued support of the Museum.
