American Doctoral Dissertations on Anthropology
The Minpaku library holds almost all American and Canadian doctoral dissertations on anthropology which were prepared by the ProQuest Information and Learning Company (formerly UMI), from January 1974 to March 2004, as a form of micro-document.
How to Search
In the library, if you wish to see a dissertation abstract, you can run a search with the CD-ROM (Dissertation Abstracts) or its booklet.
The Dissertation Abstracts CD-ROM (1987-) is located at the library reception desk in the library.It is possible to search using keywords of title, author's name and name of university.
The Dissertation Abstracts booklet (1931 - 1998) is located on the second floor of the library.It is possible to search using keywords of author's name and subject. The booklet is in chronological order and the dissertations are classified according to field.
