In local societies in East Africa, a distinct type of socio-cultural change is prominently manifested which is brought about by a variety of factors emanating from aid programs with their accompanying demands by international society and nation building policy of the government concerned. My interest lies in exploring the multilateral ways in which local societies are internally and autonomously adjusting to this exogenous socio-cultural change.
